If you have no or very little herbal background then the Introductory Course is the best place to start. Students with some knowledge of herbalism can begin in the Intermediate Course. Both of these courses (or an equivalent level of knowledge) are suggested as prerequisites to the Business and Advanced Courses, as they will give you the foundation you need to be successful in these more advanced level courses.

Our Herbal Journey Guide may help give you an idea of the different paths you can take during your studies. Please find the guide here: https://theherbalacademy.com/herbal-journey-guide-free-download/

Here is a brief overview of the Introductory and Intermediate courses:

The Introductory Herbal Course is the best place for beginners because it begins with the basics of making herbal preparations , wildcrafting, anatomy, introduces you to many plants, covers common imbalances for adults and children, and discusses the overarching holistic approach of herbalism.

The Intermediate Herbal Course reviews basic concepts in the first unit and then dives in deeper, working in-depth through body systems and discussing anatomy, physiology, and appropriate herbs—their actions, energetics, indications, and contraindications—and diet and lifestyle support for disharmony and disease in those body systems. The course also includes guidance for herbal formulation and lessons on phytochemistry and herbal support for children.
