No supplies are included in registration fees and no herbs or books will be mailed to you. Since one of the most important aspects of learning herbalism is working directly with herbs, we encourage students to acquire small amounts of herbs to work with in recipes that are included throughout the courses. We also encourage students to acquire a few good herbal reference books. When you register, you will be sent a welcome email with a list of suggested herbs and books.
We understand the need to keep costs low; fortunately, you can find books for free at the library or for relatively cheap in used bookstores. You can also find affordable ways to create projects with items you might already have in your house: olive oil, kitchen herbs and spices, jars, etc. Natural food stores usually include a bulk herb section in which you can measure out small amounts of herbs for a few dollars a bag. For those students who need to order herbs, we offer a 10% off discount in conjunction with Mountain Rose Herbs and 25% off with Bulk Herb Store. Registered students can find these discounts in their Student Dashboard.
