The best course for you really depends on your interests and goals! The Introductory Course is really an overall introduction to herbalism and is chock full of information to help new students feel at home with herbalism. So if you are interested in studying herbalism as a whole, this is a great course for you. While the Botany & Wildcrafting Course is focused on teaching students about plant ID, wildcrafting, and stewardship, and is a great choice for students who want to learn about these topics. Note that the Botany & Wildcrafting Course is also a great addition to any of our other courses here at the Academy.

The only area of overlap between the two courses is one lesson on making simple herbal preparations that is included in the Botany and Wildcrafting Course. We do touch on plant identification in the Introductory Course however, it is a simple introduction to the topic and does not go as in-depth as the Botany and Wildcrafting Course!
