Both courses include material on phytochemistry, however the content is completely different! Further, while the Advanced Course does have a lesson on formulation, the Mastering Herbal Formulations Course covers formulation in much more depth! 

This means that the Mastering Herbal Formulations Course goes deeper into herbal actions, phytochemistry, and formulation than the Advanced Course, while the Advanced Course has much more material on pathophysiology and herbal support specific to various imbalances as well as material on starting a clinical practice. Neither of these are covered in the Mastering Herbal Formulations Course.
