- 1-ounce and/or 2-ounce dark-colored glass bottles
- 5-mL dark-colored glass bottles
- Dark-colored bottles with sprayer tops (½-ounce, 2-ounce, and/or 4-ounce)
- ½-ounce and/or 1-ounce glass roll-on bottles
- Flat perfume cases (small compacts or pillboxes work well)
- Quart- and pint-sized glass jars for making infused oils and tinctures
Other suggested supplies:
- Natural waxed paper
- Scent strips
- Glass droppers
- A dedicated perfumery notebook
- A protective cover or tray for your work area (stainless steel or enamel)
- 190-proof alcohol
- Solubilizer such as Solubol
- Jojoba oil
- Vitamin E oil
- Beeswax pastilles
- Hydrosol (e.g., rose and/or neroli)
While we don’t recommend purchasing essential oils and other fragrant extracts until you have chosen which of the course recipes you would like to try, here are a handful of commonly used perfumery essential oils that are included in several course recipes:
